A Living Demonstration

The Pizza Farm was created to educate and entertain “city folk” of all ages about how their food is grown. The Pizza Farm is a “living” demonstration farm that conducts guided tours for schools and tourists, teaching them about agriculture along the way. The Pizza Farm is circular (like a pizza) and is divided into eight pie-shaped “slices” (like a pizza), with each “slice” growing or grazing all the ingredients needed to make a farm-fresh pizza.

Guests at the Pizza Farm see, touch, and learn about how farmers grow wheat for the crust and tomatoes for the sauce. They also learn about the dairy cows that give milk to make cheese and even the pigs for pepperoni.

In a unique and entertaining way, visitors to the Pizza Farm quickly realize they could not enjoy their favorite food without the help of a farmer! Now sit back, relax, and enjoy a little taste of the only farm in Placer County that actually grows pizza!
